Maritime links to the lost continent of Atlantis.
Evidence that the native inhabitants of the New World were capable of transatlantic
sea voyages long before the Viking Age can be found by studying several new archeological
and anthropological views which suggest a prehistoric maritime trade system once linked
the New World continent of Atlantis with western areas of the Old World.
This prehistoric maritime trade system was broken by a world-wide atmospheric event
known as the "Biblical Flood" long before the New World was "rediscovered" by
Europeans explorers some five centuries ago.
The idea that the subject of Atlantis is much more than a mythical time and place can be realized
when the true aspects of Plato's story are better understood.
