On the bayside of central Key Largo at Mile Marker 99.5, there exist an anchorage of live-aboard boats.
Some boats can be very comfortable with satillite TV and internet cell phone connections. Nearby marinas can provied nessessary services such as water and parking to moored or curising boats.
Some live-aboard boats are simple houseboats -- but whatever some call home, the bugs and the storms can be problems to those who choose to live out on the water. Between waterspouts and lightning strikes, life “on the hook” is not for everyone. For those who are true seafarers, such problems are small compared to the rewards of living on a boat in your swimming pool.
