This data page illustrates a new set of time values assigned to the five Mayan hieroglyphic time symbols. New interpretation of these symbols have revealed data that suggest the Maya "announced" the season and the "year" day count by using a steam-whistle box identified as a "Tun" symbol. The cascading count values of how the Maya used the "Tun" symbol gives a much smaller time-line of Mayan history than currently believed.
