Environmental changes in my personal life in recent years have affected my capability to update my Atlantean theories. The primary change is that my wife & I have moved from Southern Florida to Western North Carolina in the Southern Appalachian Mountains. Aside from this major change in adapting to a new home setting, other environmental changes have also delayed publishing my research and I will touch upon those changes later in this interview.
For over two decades my Atlantean theories have challenged the conventional science of anthropology and archeology with breakthrough concepts that reveal a new understanding of human history. Believing that my important Atlantean theories would be discovered by some enterprising assembly of scientist one day, I kept adding to and updating my online research work.
However, it seems that academia and the main stream news media services -- which control general scientific information, have still apparently overlooked my work and the story of Atlantis remains a fictional historical subject in the minds of the general public. Perhaps a refocus of my Atlantean theories is needed so that the general public can better understand the true treasures within history's greatest mystery. In the meantime, I will try my best during this interview to answer truthfully any relevant questions regarding my research work.
Reporter 1: Why have you moved from Southern Florida to the Southern Appalachian Mountains -- and has the move helped in your research?
Duane: Our move was based on several factors -- among them were the cooler temperatures and the colorful seasonal changes that Southern Florida does not have. Before we moved we explored many other places in the Caribbean and the Western United States for home sites, but decided on the Southern Appalachian Mountains because the country home feel of the area was within driving time of Southern Florida where family & friends live. Let me say that I still have fond memories of Southern Florida where I was born and miss the open tropical skies, offshore coral reefs and wild mangrove islands, but after a run of recent hurricanes and other factors, the "winds of change" made my wife & I choose a new home up here in the mountains. Paradise was nice but a little heaven is also good for the soul. While many couples follow their work to places based on income needs, our new home in the mountains was a choice of wild nature over monetary demands.
As to your question regarding whether our move up here helped my research -- well, I hope it has. Because the transition between our old home site and our new one is still not yet complete, time available for my research work has been less than what was planned. It seems that our decision to sell our house in Florida over two years ago and move north happened at a time when the global economy began moving south -- and as a result, the current economic recession has left us still paying for two homes much longer than planned. I could elaborate more as to the poor status of the global economy and how negative attitudes in general can arrest progress, but I would rather focus on the positive aspects of my Atlantean theories.
Reporter 2: Could you give us an update of your Atlantean theories and explain why you believe major educational institutions or the main stream news media services have overlooked your research work since you posted them online over a decade ago?
Duane: The latest news regarding my Atlantean theories is that I have decided to reorganize my research into a "verifiable outline". Instead of presenting my Atlantean theories in a random layout as they were discovered over the years, I hope to consolidate the most important concepts into an outline formula and divide them into strategic and tactical subjects. For example, overall strategic subjects related to Atlantis will cover the archeological and anthropological timeline of when the Atlantean Maritime Kingdom existed while specific tactical subjects will cover the technology used by the Atlanteans. Tactical subjects related to Atlantis will include scientific explanations of legendary technological items such as the parabolic dish design of "the Holy Grail" tool or the deltoid glider design of "the Golden Fleece" device. Moreover, I hope to suggest how such lost technology may be used again to radically improve modern transportation systems and perhaps replace both the conventional internal combustion engine design and the fossil fuel chemistry industry it relies on.
Regarding the view as to why my research work has been overlooked by the general public to date, I guess the strategic argument associated with my radical timeline theory of when the Atlantean Maritime Kingdom existed less than a thousand years ago keeps most historians and scientist from believing in the rest of my theories. It seems that no matter what is written about the subject of Atlantis, the place will probably remain fictional in the minds of the general public until solid factual evidence of the prehistoric Atlantean seaport is visually verified. And so far, even the latest satellite maps used by the Google Earth program service have not revealed convincing views that a prehistoric seaport was once located on the swampy plain west of Lake Izabal in Central America.
Reporter 3: Because conventional history books date human civilization to about five thousand years ago, and because you believe Atlantis existed less than a thousand years ago, is there no wonder that academia or the main stream news media services have overlooked your research work? Even if you could explain to the best historians in sequential detail your radical timeline theory of how recorded human history was mistakenly published five centuries ago, it would take an extraordinary leap in understanding your theoretical idea that the true timeline of human civilization is but only a fraction of what is recorded as fact in every conventional history book. Why do you believe past historians through the centuries have exaggerated the dated beginnings of human civilization -- and more important, why have conventional historians not included the Atlantean subject within any published timeline model?
Duane: Perhaps conventional history was recorded by historians who scientifically "pushed" the dates of human historical events into geological history -- by that I mean good historians are also geologist who see yearly earth time within rocks and fossils going back thousands or millions years ago and perhaps want to record human time on earth as not appearing so insignificantly recent. Notwithstanding some religious interpretations of when human history began long ago, the trend with many historians over the last two centuries who find human artifacts is to scientifically "push" back into geological time the discovery. So, as a result of this competitive trend by historians to publish archeological discoveries further into the past, conventional history has been published incorrectly.
As to your question about why conventional historians have not included the Atlantean subject within any published timeline model, perhaps conventional historians were not and have not been exposed to new historical data that suggest the reality of Atlantis within the timeline of human civilization. Perhaps our modern world needs a new timeline model that includes the subject of Atlantis. This new timeline model of human history would explain the early migration of maritime man from the Atlantean continent of the "New World" to the "Old World" byway of seafaring pathways with staging places like Stonehenge and Malta before colonizing the shores of the eastern Mediterranean area with places like the Egyptian pyramids and the many historical sites of the "Middle East". As our early ancestors migrated eastward and westward from the "New World" they learned new skills of survival and developed new technologies. Some of these new technologies -- such as parabolic cutting tools and flying aircraft were lost in what became known as the "Biblical Flood". And conventional history as we currently know it reflects the discovery -- or should I say the rediscovery, of the New World from the Old World perspective. The reason why the colonial inhabitants of the Old World "forgot" about the Atlantean New World continent was because the Biblical Flood destroyed the maritime links that once united the global government of Atlantis.
Reporter 2: Wasn't the New World named "new" by historians over time because of the apparent view that the native inhabitants of what is now the American continents lacked the alphabetical skills of advance communication methods used by the "older" European conquerors? Moreover, doesn't the perception that because New World natives did not have advanced seafaring and metal making technology five centuries ago suggest the view the technology matured over time in the Old World thereby implying the Old World is culturally older?
Duane: Yes to both questions. The New World was apparently newer at the time it was rediscovered by the European conquerors some five centuries ago -- however, because both the alphabetical and metal making technology used by the Old World natives can now be understood as having their evolutionary origins within the Atlantean Maritime Kingdom once based in the New World, a newer understanding of human history needs to be published that reflects that view. For example, the graphical Latin Alphabet is based on binary Ogamic communication methods used by the Atlanteans -- and the metal making "Iron Age" also has its roots in the New World because the seafaring Phoenicians who were part of the Atlantean Maritime Kingdom that sailed the Atlantic and Mediterranean, developed the use of iron in chain based ground tackle long before the Hittites used it for military weaponry near Asia Minor in Biblical times.
Reporter 2: So what your are saying is that the "New World" can be understood as the "Old World" if the total evolutionary timeline of human technology and history is considered. Is this true?
Duane: Yes -- It is interesting to note the coincidence in which today's leader in agriculture and aerospace is a nation located in the American continents where the main Atlantean homeland was located. The United States of America and her global allies are culturally related to the once powerful Atlantean Maritime Kingdom. Because I have demonstrated two primary scientific concepts within my research that reflect examples of advance farming and flight technology once used by the Atlanteans, modern historians should take note of these views when they update their publishing efforts. Such views will not only explain certain truths behind Plato's prehistoric story of Atlantis, but also reveal a new understanding of our cultural origins.
Reporter 2: You have explained how the Atlanteans pioneered flight technology in your research work such as powered deltoid gliders and even sophisticated helicopter designs, but could you elaborate on how they specialized in advance farming technology?
Duane: Western Mythology is ripe with stories about a garden place located in the western realm wherein the "Golden Apples of Youth" grew and were used by the gods to maintain immortality. The Hesperides was a place representing agriculture at its best -- a garden that grew fruit which apparently was so nutritional, human immortality seemed possible.
Now isn't that the goal of any agricultural enterprise? To make a food that extends human longevity far beyond normal nutritional values -- this is what our ancestral Atlantean farmers accomplished.
Moreover, because the "Golden Apples of Youth" story implies the idea that these unique apples contained the durable metallic element of gold within the fruit, perhaps the Atlanteans were aware of special methods in chelating durable metals within food thereby making humans who ate the food more durable. For example, when we eat an apple, usually by the time we finish it we see the oxidized iron or rust on the flesh area because the chelated iron within the flesh bonded to oxygen from the atmosphere. Perhaps there once existed a special method of growing fruit by our Atlantean farmers that absorbed durable metallic elements like gold and other unique elements which contributed to human longevity.
My research into the Fountain of Youth story has revealed data that suggest the element of manganese when ingested properly may also help in human longevity because it can replace iron in the body and is more resistant to oxidation, thus neutralizing the aging effects caused by unbalanced oxidation.
Manganese is found in many natural plants -- particularly purple berries such as blueberries, and is known to improve mental and cellular memory within the body. Manganese is what makes the Amethyst crystal purple -- in fact, together with certain other durable elements, manganese may have played an important role in making mankind what it is.
Mankind's scriptural beginnings began when the seafaring Phoenicians used the royal purple manganese base inks from the murex shellfish to stain and scribe letters which improved our early literary efforts immensely.
So, apparently the Atlanteans were quite knowledgeable in a lost science of nutritional chemistry that is just now being rediscovered by academia.
Reporter 2: Regarding academia and why it apparently refuses to acknowledge the reality of the Atlantean subject, if you had one sentence to say to all the major educational institutions throughout the world about your Atlantean research work, what would it be?
Duane: Well, this goes for the main stream news media services that also control information for the general public; Please review my Atlantean research work if you care to understand new and important concepts about our ancestral origins and our future destiny.
Perhaps many aspects of academia and the main stream news media services need to reinvent themselves because it seems that good information is buried under way too many advertising events. I have to say that after spending a whole year without watching any television up here in the Southern Appalachian Mountains, I have recently come to realize just how much noise television makes. In my opinion, the Internet is much better than television at sharing good information, but it too is getting loaded down with advertising events.
So much "advertising noise" -- together with "useless information programming" exist, some serious news gets lost in the media shuffle. Is there no body managing the information store?
Some would argue that control of information should be in the hands of the users and not the media programmers -- that may be so, but I believe managers of important information within the main stream news media services could do a better job by reducing advertising events and stop teasing the public with bits of real news buried under useless commercials.
Moreover, it seems that these information managers should have a responsibility to inspire us with positive views of our future and layoff the negative stories which can lead to fearful attitudes of our future. For the last two years, I have watched the current global economy go negative because what seems like a parade of fearful news from the main stream news media services. Perhaps we need to remember what former president Roosevelt said during the Great Depression some seventy-five years ago; "We have nothing to fear but fear itself" -- which implies that we need to stop being afraid and start working toward a better future now. It's time for the media services to stop shuffling the news and start dealing the news.
And speaking about getting lost in the media shuffle, perhaps one day my Atlantean theories will rise above the noise created by today's media services and be discovered by the general public in time for future generations to understand the true treasures of Atlantis.
